Start a merchandise site. - There are dozens of sites out there that will let you upload your ideas and then reap the rewards of another company’s labor. It’s not the best way to make a profit, but it can easily grow into an income generator. CafePress is probably the most popular of these sites, but it has its limits. Zazzle has more options, a wider selection, and isn’t as stringent about copyright laws. I created a series of items for CafePress using an original (at least, it was back then) logo I created that was a parody of the Rock the Vote campaign that said Barack the Vote, but they kept removing it with a vague reference to copyright violation. So I created a Barack the Vote section on Zazzle and they don’t seem to care.

Get a Google AdSense or AdBrite account to post advertising directly onto your site. If you put it in your site in clever ways, you’ll be able to splash a lot of ads without annoying people. Fortunately, you can customize these ads so they don’t annoy your visitors too much.
